K-pop girl group NMIXX has raised anticipation for its upcoming comeback with the release of a dramatic music video teaser for the title track “Heavy Serenade.”
The teaser, unveiled through JYP Entertainment’s official social media channels, introduces a mysterious storyline in which the members attempt to deliver a powerful message of love across dimensions to their fandom, NSWER. The visual concept combines cinematic imagery with the group’s signature experimental style.
“Heavy Serenade” blends multiple electronic genres including trance, acid, and drum & bass into a pop-focused sound. The track is expected to highlight both explosive energy and emotional depth through its intense chorus and atmospheric production.
Singer-songwriter Hanroro participated in the lyrics, adding a poetic and emotional tone to the song’s message about unwavering love and devotion.
The upcoming mini album will contain six tracks, with several members contributing to songwriting and lyric production. LILY took part in writing songs including “Crescendo,” while BAE contributed to tracks such as “Different Girl” and “Superior,” further reflecting the group’s growing artistic involvement.
“Heavy Serenade” marks NMIXX’s first comeback in around seven months following their previous full-length album “Blue Valentine.” The mini album is scheduled for release on May 11 at 6 PM KST, with a countdown live event planned ahead of the launch.
