Lee Jae-wook is set to enlist for his mandatory military service later this month, his agency Log Studio confirmed.
The actor will enter a training center quietly without any public event, complete basic military training, and then continue his service as an active-duty soldier. Ahead of his enlistment, Lee previously shared his thoughts in an interview, expressing hope to return more mature and resilient after completing his duty.
Since his debut in Memories of the Alhambra, Lee has steadily built a strong filmography with leading roles in projects such as Search: WWW, Extraordinary You, Alchemy of Souls, and Tangeum.
Despite his upcoming enlistment, fans will still be able to see him on screen. His new drama Doctor Someboy is scheduled to premiere on June 1, while the Netflix series Honey Part-time Job is expected to be released later this year, ensuring his presence continues during his time in service.
