Kim Hee-chul has personally spoken out regarding his decision to pause appearances on Knowing Bros, easing concerns among fans and colleagues.
After speculation about his departure surfaced, he responded through social media, emphasizing that the situation was not as serious as some had feared. He explained that recent fatigue, combined with overlapping overseas schedules, made it difficult to maintain consistent participation in weekly recordings.
Kim noted that the show’s filming schedule sometimes conflicted with his other commitments, and rather than appearing inconsistently, he chose to take a short break to recover and return in better condition. He also expressed gratitude toward the production team and cast members for their understanding and flexibility.
Highlighting his affection for the long-running program, he reassured fans that his absence is only temporary. He added that with Kim Shin-young joining as a new regular member, the show will continue to bring fresh energy during his hiatus.
According to JTBC, Kim Hee-chul will step away from the program starting from the May 9 broadcast, marking a brief pause after more than a decade as a core cast member.
